Day in New York installing my fabrics and wall-coverings at Hinson and Co.
Yesterday was a huge day for me, my fabrics and wallpapers were installed in the venerable showroom, Hinson and Co. in New York. It is a huge honor for me to have my fabrics represented by such an established and well respected showroom, so I had to go down and see how things looked. They are situated in the D and D building in New York- the most grown up of all design centers in the U.S., so I was just thrilled that Mr Harry Hinson, gave me the nod!

We started by sorting out the sequence of my wallpaper patterns in the back room.
Carole, the delightful showroom manager introduced me to the ladies in charge of the fabric lines on the floor. They were rather reluctant models for my blog pics!!
She, on the other hand, was more than delighted to participate in my blogging craziness!
And there they are- with all their lovely ‘NEW’ tags!!
Louis is the installer and he did such a fabulous job! - thats my Julia wallpaper going up
I had a bit of time at the end of the day to snoop around the showroom, what a treasure trove it is!!
Looking for gorgeous chunky blue and white ceramics??
I am just mad for all things faux bois at the moment, these incredible hand made vases can be made into lamps
Stunning hall lanterns.
Below, new wallpapers stylishly displayed.
Its a feast of colour wherever you turn!
Liked this dining chair, it was really comfortable and not at all stuffy looking. I was shocked to hear it was from the ‘Althorp Collection’ - Lady Di’s brother selling his ‘English Castle’ look to the Americans! His stuff usually creeps me out!
On my way out I had a quick snoop in Cowtan and Tout - (the mothership!)- to see what was cooking for their fall line up- just loved the old French Riviera wallpaper in their loo.
Flew out of there before the world arrived in New York for United Nations week. Next stop, I’m thinking L.A., where all the fabulous people are!!
